Infographic Poster of Personal Objects that Shape My Creative Practice, 2023

During the second semester of 2023, I was tasked with producing an A2 infographic poster cataloguing a collection of design artefacts that hold personal significance to me and influence my creative practice. This poster was paired with a critical review delving into        my creative methods, examining personal insights, inspirations, and connections within creative communities.

An excerpt from my review, reflecting on the poster:
To develop a cohesive composition for the placement of the elements in my poster, I implemented a grid system. In organising them into individual boxes of equal size, I convey that they are equally important for different reasons. The use of bright pink aligns with my appreciation for vibrant colours. Alternating the placement to create a uniform checkered pattern, I formed a cohesive connection among the items. When exploring the contexts within my chosen objects, I was challenged to think about them from new perspectives. Thinking about their personal significance to me, where or who I got them from, important people or life moments they remind me of, or simply why I like them. Delving into their deeper meanings, I considered their symbology in wider cultural and social contexts, making connections to myself as a creative. An important categorisation I found among many of my objects, was the impact they have on my learning, and how they influence my creativity, ensuring I maintain the focus and motivation needed to pursue my creative practice.
